In the footsteps of Pope St John Paul II
During the tour you will become familiar with the most important sites connected with St Pope John Paul II.We will visit, among others, the places where Karol Wojtyła (the future Pope) attended lectures during his studies at the Jagiellonian University, the Bishops’ Palace and several churches where he would often pray and serve as a vicar. You will also see the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Łagiewniki featuring a monastery complex from the turn of the 19th century and a contemporary basilica. John Paul II repeatedly called Łagiewniki the capital of the Divine Mercy devotion. The old church houses the relics of St Sister Faustina canonized in 2000 by St John Paul II . We will also go to the “Have No Fear!” John Paul II Centre located in the vicinity of the Sanctuary.
